Description: In this course, students grapple with precise geometric definitions and theorems in the language of mathematics. Students undergo a rigorous analysis of shapes with an emphasis on triangles, quadrilaterals, and circles. This analysis requires exploring and investigating transversals, transformations, congruence, similarity, basic trigonometry, area/volume, probability, and much more. As the year progresses, students develop their ability to construct and critique mathematical arguments and eventually, proofs.
