Write notes on student work<\/h1>\n

You can use Classroom\u2019s drawing and writing tools to add feedback directly onto student work. You can underline words, highlight text, draw shapes, and leave notes on Google Docs files, images, Adobe\u00ae<\/sup> PDF\u00ae<\/sup>, and Microsoft\u00ae<\/sup> Office\u00ae<\/sup>documents.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: Drawing and writing tools are available only in the Classroom mobile app for Android and Apple\u00ae<\/sup> iOS\u00ae<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> You can\u00a0edit or comment<\/a> in any document in Drive. Your edits or comments are automatically saved and ready for the student to review when they open the document.<\/p>\n

How to write notes<\/h2>\n

  1. Tap Classroom \"Classroom\".<\/li>\n
  2. Tap the class and tap the assignment.<\/li>\n
  3. Tap Student Work.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Tap the student’s name and then tap their attachment.<\/li>\n
  5. Tap Write \"Write\".<\/li>\n
  6. Make any notes. For details, see Use the drawing and writing tools<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  7. Tap Save \"Save\".Important<\/strong>: Notes aren\u2019t automatically saved. If you don’t tap Save \"Save\" or leave the screen or tap Back \"Back\" before saving, you\u2019ll lose your notes.<\/li>\n
  8. (Optional) To open the student’s work in Drive, tap New tab \"New.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
